For over 25 years the Tammany Tigers have been the voice for LSU fans in St. Tammany and surrounding parishes. We are among the best known of all LSU booster clubs in the country because of our tremendous enthusiasm for, and our overwhelming commitment to, the LSU community, both academically and athletically.

The Tammany Tigers were presented with the prestigious Purple Blazer in recognition of our contributions toward the Tiger Athletic Foundation. Past Tammany Tigers President Blaise Ernst is pictured receiving the blazer with President Stacie Doyle and TAF Assistant Director of Development Ben Ross. Our chapter will be recognized on the field during the Middle Tennessee game as a recipient of the Purple Blazer.

Dear Tammany Tigers,
Our raffle drawing and dinner meeting held last week was a great success. The winner of the four 2007 football season tickets is Anthony Bercegeay from Geismar, LA. Congratulations!! (Pictured from the dinner held at Caretta's are member Theresa Heap, who pulled the winning ticket, and past president Blaise Ernst.)
At the meeting, members heard more about our Foundation of Champions Scholarship, which honors past player #74 Buddy Buras and supports the current player who wears #74 for the Tigers - junior center starter Brett Helms. Members also passed around a very nice note and autographed photo that Brett sent to our chapter, thanking the Tammany Tigers for our contribution. Be sure to look for him on the field! We are very excited to announce that the Tammany Tigers' contributions will be recognized on the field at halftime during the home opener Sept. 8th against Virginia Tech. Members of the board and honoree Buddy Buras will be acknowledged on the field during the halftime ceremony. Thanks to all of you who have helped to make the goal of funding a scholarship in our chapters' name a reality. We have come a long way since reorganizing just a few years ago and our members should be very proud!
We will be sending out info soon regarding tailgate parties and locations. Let's get ready for an incredible season!
